At Beech Tree Carpentry, craftsmanship runs deep. Founder Leighton T. Allenby II is a Cape Cod native who combines technical training with a lifelong love of building. He earned a degree in Arboriculture from UMass Amherst and went on to graduate from the world-renowned IYRS School of Technology & Trades in Rhode Island, where he studied traditional wooden boat restoration — a discipline that requires precision, patience, and respect for detail.

Today, he brings that same dedication to homes and businesses across Barnstable County. From remodeling kitchens and baths to building decks and custom finish carpentry, every project is approached with care, integrity, and a commitment to lasting quality.

Outside of work, Leighton lives in Harwich with his family, their dog Jack, three cats, and a flock of backyard chickens. He enjoys fishing and starting the day with sunrise walks along the Cape Cod National Seashore with Jack. His deep roots in the community and appreciation for the Cape lifestyle inspire everything he builds.
