Solid Woodwork. No Excuses.
At Beech Tree Carpentry, craftsmanship runs deep—and taking pride in the work is non-negotiable. Founder Leighton T. Allenby II is a Cape Cod native who combines formal technical training with a lifelong refusal to build anything flimsy.
He earned his degree in Arboriculture from UMass Amherst before leveling up at the world-renowned IYRS School of Technology & Trades in Rhode Island. There, he studied traditional wooden boat restoration—a discipline requiring standard-issue perfectionism, infinite patience, and zero room for error. If you can make a wooden boat watertight enough for the Atlantic Ocean, bringing that same level of craft to a custom kitchen remodel or an outdoor space just comes naturally.
Today, Leighton brings that same high-stakes precision to homes and businesses across Cape Cod. From kitchen overhauls and custom baths to structural decks and crisp finish carpentry, every job gets full transparency, a immaculate job site, and zero corners cut.
Outside of work, Leighton lives in Harwich with his family, their two dogs (Jack & Norm, who handle middle management), two cats, and a flock of chickens. He’s an avid hunter and fisherman whose ideal morning starts at sunrise on the Cape Cod National Seashore with the dogs leading the pack.
His local roots and genuine love for the area fuel every project. Whether you need an expert carpenter for detailed trim, a total room refresh, or an upgraded outdoor living space, Beech Tree Carpentry is proud to be Cape Cod’s most reliable, straight-shooting, and low-stress contractor.
